I'm Jacob — a solo web designer based in Raleigh, NC who writes actual code. My background isn't design school or agency work — I've spent years building things: custom PCs, home automation, server infrastructure, AI integrations. Web design is where that builder instinct meets real business problems.
I work in Next.js, React, and TypeScript. The .dev in my domain isn't an aesthetic choice — it's accurate. When you hire me, you're not getting someone who assembles templates and calls it done. You're getting someone who can build the thing: lead capture, booking flows, AI-powered features, integrations with the tools your business already uses.
I've built my own AI infrastructure — custom chatbots, API integrations, automation systems. The “Ask my AI” button on this site isn't a gimmick; it's a live example of what I can build for clients. AI integration is a core part of what I offer, not a buzzword I'm chasing.
Most of my clients are small and medium businesses right here in the Triangle — restaurants, law firms, contractors, clinics, solo practitioners. People who need a site that generates leads, not just one that exists. I work solo, so every project gets my full attention from first conversation to launch. I'm usually at my desk with a fresh cup of coffee and my cat Princess Donut claiming whatever's closest to the keyboard.
Every element earns its place. I don't add sections because they look nice — every decision is tied to what you need the site to actually do. Built on modern foundations so it scales as your business grows.
Most of your visitors are on their phones. I build for that first, not as an afterthought — fast load times, clean layouts, nothing that drags.
Chatbots, smart search, and automation aren't bolted on after the fact — they're built into the architecture from the start. The "Ask my AI" button on this site is a working example of what that looks like in practice.
No jargon, no black box. You get a direct line to me the whole way through. You'll know what's happening and why at every step.
