I'm Jacob — a software engineer based in Raleigh, NC who builds and validates web applications with TypeScript, React, and Next.js alongside human-directed AI coding agents. My background isn't design school or agency work — I've spent years building things: custom PCs, home automation, server infrastructure, and AI integrations.
My strongest current work uses Next.js, React, TypeScript, and vanilla browser technologies. My approach is architect first, then direct: I set the constraints, interaction rules, and component contracts, then use AI coding agents during implementation. I review, test, and correct every pass.
I've configured a human-directed AI workflow environment for software delivery, research, and automation. The “Ask my AI” button on this site is a bounded example of that work, connected to the portfolio content and contact flow.
I work hands-on across architecture, implementation, testing, and delivery. I'm usually at my desk with a fresh cup of coffee and my cat Princess Donut claiming whatever's closest to the keyboard.
